Military officials in Colombia say that around 30 suspected FARC rebels have set fire to an oil reservoir owned by Canada's Alange Energy Corporation.

Reports Monday said the rebels set crude explosives to start the fire at the facility, located in the town of Tibu, in Colombia's Norte de Santander state.

Emergency workers later extinguished the fire and officials said no one was injured.

The FARC, or Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, is the country's largest rebel group and has been fighting the government since the 1960's.

The FARC has been designated as a terrorist organization by Colombia, the United States and the European Union.
