Italian divers have discovered eight more bodies on the Costa Condordia, the cruise ship that last month ran around and capsized off the Italian coast.

Among the discoveries was the body of a five-year-old Italian girl.

It is now confirmed that 25 people died in the cruise ship disaster. Seven people remain missing and are presumed dead.

Italian prosecutors on Wednesday announced that charges are being brought against three executives of Costa Crociere, the cruise ship's operator, along with four of the vessel's officers. The charges against the seven were not announced.

Previously the Costa Concordia's captain and its first officer were charged with manslaughter for allegedly causing the ship's grounding and prematurely abandoning the vessel.

Rough seas off the Tuscan resort island of Giglio have hampered the recovering effort and have impeded the removal of the remainder of the 2,400 tons of fuel aboard the stricken vessel.
