Pakistan says it has test fired a short-range missile capable of carrying nuclear and conventional warheads.

A military statement says the Haft-2 has a range of 180 kilometers and can transport warheads with “high accuracy.”

Nuclear-armed rival neighbors Pakistan and India regularly test missiles, and inform each of such tests ahead of time. The two countries have fought three wars since gaining independence from Britain in 1947.
