Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney — emboldened by Tuesday's three primary election sweep — took on President Obama Wednesday, accusing him of a “hide and seek” re-election campaign.

Romney told an audience of newspaper executives in Washington that Mr. Obama is hiding his true positions on the issues. He said it is up to voters to seek them out.

Romney accused the president of criticizing polices that no one is proposing to distract voters from his record.

Mr. Obama spoke to the same group of newspaper executives Tuesday. He told them Romney backs a Republican budget plan intended to impose “a radical vision” on the country with huge tax breaks for the rich and deep cuts in social spending.

Romney moved closer to capturing the Republican party presidential nomination Tuesday by winning three primary elections in Maryland, Wisconsin, and Washington, DC.

He now has more than half the delegates needled to win the nomination. But his three Republican challengers — Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, and Rick Santorum — are giving no signs they are ready to drop out of the race.
