The Dead Sea that lies between Israel and Jordan is nearly 10 times as salty as the ocean. Not much can grow there.
But Israeli artist Sigalit Landau has created a sculpture by immersing a black dress in the Dead Sea for two years, letting the salt create what looks like a sugar-coated design.
“It looks like snow, like sugar, like death’s embrace; solid tears, like a white surrender to fire and water combined,” Landau told the Jerusalem Post.
