Asian stock markets closed mostly lower Friday.
Tokyo's Nikkei index lost two-thirds of a percent , to close at 9,492.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng index dropped 1.31 percent , to end at 22,950.
Elsewhere, share prices were lower in Seoul, Sydney, Mumbai, Singapore, Bangkok, Wellington and Manila. Markets closed higher in Shanghai, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta.
The U.S. dollar was quoted at 80.58 yen, down three-tenths of a yen from late Thursday.
Gold was trading at $1,526.26 an ounce.
