Britain is celebrating the birthday of Queen Elizabeth with traditional pomp and ceremony.
The Queen and her husband rode in a carriage through central London Saturday for the annual military parade in her honor.
Her grandson, newlywed Prince William and his bride, Catherine, were also on hand for the celebration. The prince rode on horseback with the troops wearing the same red tunic he wore in April during his wedding. Catherine, now the Duchess of Cambridge, watched the parade alongside other royals, including her brother-in-law Prince Harry.
Queen Elizabeth's 85th birthday was in April, but the official public celebration is held later when the weather is better.
This year's ceremony comes a day after her husband, Prince Philip, turned 90.
