A Syrian human rights group says security forces have opened fire during funerals for slain political protesters, killing two people.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the two were shot dead Saturday in al-Kaswa, south of the capital, Damascus.
The rights group said the security forces began shooting when the funerals turned into protests.
A spokesman for the Syrian Observatory said Saturday's funerals were for anti-government protesters killed on Friday when Syrian security forces opened fire on them, killing at least 20 people, including two children. He said most of the deaths occurred in or around Damascus.
Demonstrators against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad have been under assault by pro-government forces for more than 100 days.
Thousands of Syrians have fled into Lebanon and Turkey to escape escalating violence in their homeland.
