European stock prices are mixed in midday trading Tuesday.
London's Financial Times index is up nearly one-half of one percent to 5,749. The CAC-40 in Paris is up more than one-half one percent at 3,818, and the DAX index in Frankfurt is down just over one-tenth of one percent to 7,100.
In New York, the S&P futures contract is down nearly three points, indicating a lower opening for U.S. markets.
Tokyo's Nikkei index gained nearly three-quarters of one percent to finish at 9,649.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng index rose nearly one-tenth of one percent to finish the day's trading at 22,062.
Gold is trading at $1,501.42 an ounce.
The dollar is trading lower against other major currencies.
