U.S. aircraft maker Boeing's new 787 Dreamliner has landed in Tokyo from Seattle for test flights before its first commercial launch.
The passenger jet, painted with the colors of All Nippon Airways, landed early Sunday and taxied to a hanger through a celebratory arch of water sprayed from two airport fire trucks.
The wide-bodied twin-engine plane is made mostly of carbon fiber and other composite materials, which make it lighter and more fuel-efficient than other mid-sized airliners.
The Dreamliner's debut was delayed for three years because of developmental problems.
