A volcano erupted in central Indonesia early Sunday, but so far poses no danger to people.
Scientists say no one was injured when Mount Soputan, located on Sulawesi island, exploded.
Officials say the nearest villages are well outside the danger zone and there are no immediate evacuation plans.
Soputan, one of Sulawesi's most active volcanoes, last erupted in 2008, with no casualties reported.
Indonesia is located on the so-called Pacific Ring of Fire, an arc of volcanoes and fault lines encircling the Pacific Basin.
