Serbia's Novak Djokovic has won the men's Wimbledon singles title, defeating Rafael Nadal in four sets in London Sunday.
Djokovic triumphed in the first two sets 6-4, 6-1, before Nadal rallied to win the third set 6-1. But Djokovic sealed the title with 6-3 victory in the final set.
A frustrated Nadal punched his racket in anger before the final game.
This is the first triumph at Wimbledon for the 24-year-old Serbian. He previously won the Australian Open twice, most recently in January.
Nadal was going for his third Wimbledon title, and his 11th Grand Slam title overall.
Entering Sunday's action, Nadal was the number-one ranked player in the world, with Djokovic number two.
