A section of the roof at a Dutch soccer stadium has collapsed, killing one person and injuring at least 14.

Police say the roof caved in around midday during off-season renovations at the FC Twente stadium in Enschede, about 130 kilometers east of Amsterdam.

Photos posted on local news websites showed the roof section crashed onto a bank of seats behind one of the goals.

The stadium is home to the 2010 Dutch national champion team, which was believed to be training elsewhere at the time of the collapse.

The cause of the collapse was not immediately known.
