The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, better known as William and Kate, begin their first full day in California Saturday, following a 9-day trip to Canada.
The newly-married British royal couple arrived in Los Angeles Friday for a 3-day visit. They were greeted by local and state dignitaries, including Governor Jerry Brown.
On Saturday, William and Kate will attend a polo match in the seaside community of Santa Barbara. Afterwards, the couple will attend an event honoring British film makers. The couple will also attend a fundraiser for British charities while promoting U.S. investment in Britain.
Kate is making her first visit to the United States.
