Police in southern Afghanistan say three Afghan police were killed in a bomb blast Sunday.
Officials say three police and three civilians were wounded in the explosion in Kandahar city.
Elsewhere, NATO says three of its service members were killed Sunday in separate incidents – two in insurgent attacks and one in a bomb blast.
In another development, police in western Afghanistan said Sunday they have recovered the remains of at least six deminers who were abducted last week. They were part of a group of more than two dozen deminers snatched from Farah province.
The fate of the other deminers was not immediately clear.
