The National League beat the American League 5-1 Tuesday in Major League Baseball's annual All-Star game in Phoenix, Arizona.
Prince Fielder of the Milwaukee Brewers slugged a three-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning off Texas Rangers' pitcher C.J. Wilson to help the N.L. team win back-to-back All-Star games for the first time since 1996. Fielder, the first player in the history of the Brewers' franchise to hit a home run in an All-Star game, was named the most valuable player of game.
The win gives the eventual National League pennant winner homefield advantage over their American League opponent in this October's World Series.
