Three blasts have hit India's financial capital, Mumbai.

The number of casualties is still unclear, but police say the explosions occurred in crowded areas of the city, including one in a marketplace.

Mumbai is no stranger to attacks. In 2008, Pakistan-based militants laid siege to the city, killing 166 people.
