Lebanese officials say kidnappers have freed the seven Estonian tourists who were abducted in March.

Officials say the Estonians were released in the Bekaa Valley region Thursday and were en route to Beiruit.

Armed assailants abducted the seven men while they were on a cycling tour near the town of Zahle in the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon. The abducted men appeared in two videos as part of an appeal for help.

Lebanese officials had arrested several suspects in the case.

The kidnappers had demanded ransom for the freedom of seven Estonians kidnapped. The demand was made via email by a group calling itself the Movement for Renewal and Reform . The group had claimed responsibility for the kidnapping on a website.
