Here are the prices of some key commodities traded in New York on Thursday:
Crude oil prices slid more than $2 to settle at $95.69 a barrel. Prices plunged after the chairman of the Federal Reserve said U.S. central bank was in no rush to pump more money into the struggling U.S. economy.
Coffee prices fell 5 cents to end at $2.57 per pound.
Copper prices dropped 2 cents to close at $4.37 per pound.
Cocoa futures dipped $14 to end the day's trading at $3,166 a ton.
In Chicago trading, the price of wheat fell 7 cents to close at $7.07 a bushel.
Rice prices gained 32 cents to finish at $17 a hundredweight
