Landslides have killed at least 11 people, including a Dutch tourist, in Nepal.

Authorities say the landslides were triggered by monsoon rains. The victims were killed Wednesday in an area north of Nepal's capital, Kathmandu.

Officials say the Dutch man was trekking in the Syafrubeshi area when a landslide buried him.

South Asia's monsoon season runs runs from June until September.
