British singer and songwriter Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her home in London.

The 27-year-old soul singer, the winner of numerous Grammy Awards for her Back to Black album, had battled drug and alcohol addiction. But news agencies said there was no immediate explanation for her death.

Police said they found her body after being called to her home by ambulance services.
