A magnitude-5.9 earthquake has shaken Mexico's Gulf of California region.
The U.S. Geological Survey says Tuesday's quake was centered 138 kilometers north-northeast of La Paz in Mexico's Baja California Sur area.
The temblor was registered at a depth of 10 kilometers. It was followed by two aftershocks with magnitudes of 4.3 and 5.0.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
