Morocco's state news agency says “dozens” of people were killed Tuesday when a C-130 military plane crashed in a mountainous region.
The news agency says the Royal Armed Forces transport crashed as it was attempting to land at a military airport near the southern town of Guelmim.
Two other Moroccan websites say about 70 people were on board and at least 20 were killed.
The French news agency quotes a Moroccan official as saying the military plane is used not only to transport troops but sometimes their families as well.
