Nepal's state-run media say police have arrested a man in connection with the July 13 triple blasts that killed 24 people in the Indian city of Mumbai.

The Gorkhapatra newspaper reported Tuesday that anti-terrorism police detained the man on Saturday at his home in Nepal's capital, Kathmandu.

Nepalese police denied the report, which said that the man was arrested after making phone calls and sending text messages about the deadly Mumbai blasts. More than 130 people were wounded in the bombings.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks, which were the first in India's financial hub since the high-profile strike by Islamist militants in November 2008 that killed 166 people.

Officials say they believe the July 13 blasts were a coordinated terrorist attack.

Authorities are questioning suspected members of militant organizations, including the Indian Mujahideen, and have also not ruled out involvement by Mumbai's criminal gangs.
