At least 18 people are dead after two landslides triggered by heavy rains in South Korea Wednesday.
Authorities say at least 12 people were killed when a landslide crashed into a mountain resort in Chuncheon, located about 100 kilometers east of Seoul. Among those staying at the resort were dozens of college students who had been doing volunteer work.
The other victims were killed in a landslide in Seoul.
Severe weather has dumped hundreds of millimeters of rain on Seoul this week, closing roads and subway stations. More heavy rain is expected to fall in the capital through Friday.
