Ash from Chile's Puyehue volcano grounded flights until at least Wednesday at airports in the capitals of Uruguay and Argentina.

Located in the Andes Mountains, the Puyehue volcano has been causing air travel nightmares since early June.

The volcanic eruption has taken a toll on local economies. Airline analyst Helane Becker reported worldwide airline industry losses related to the eruption could top $50 million.
