U.S. federal aviation officials say two small airplanes collided above Alaska Saturday afternoon, killing four people in one of the planes.
Authorities say a Cessna 180 crashed to the ground and burned, killing all four people on board. Earlier reports said two people had died.
Officials say the second plane, a Cessna 206, was badly damaged, but managed to land safely at the international airport in Anchorage. Alaska state troopers say the pilot was the only person onboard, and was not hurt.
The deadly incident is under investigation.
