Taiwan golf star Yani Tseng has received a hero's welcome home after winning the Women's British Open for the second consecutive year.
The 22-year-old Tseng was greeted by relatives and hundreds of excited fans when she arrived at Taiwan's Taoyuan International Airport Tuesday. She received a large bouquet of roses and a hug from her 92-year-old grandmother.
She thanked the crowd for their support, especially those who stayed up late at night to watch her defeat American Bethany Lang by four strokes in Carnoustie, Scotland, to successfully defend her Women's British Open title.
Tseng is the youngest golfer in history, man or woman, to win five major tournaments. She tops the Ladies Professional Golf Association's earnings list, with over $1.7 million.
