Pakistani officials say two soldiers have been killed in a roadside bomb attack near the country's northwest border with Afghanistan.
Officials say the Pakistani soldiers were patrolling near the town of Ladha in the South Waziristan tribal area Tuesday when their vehicle was struck by a roadside bomb.
South Waziristan has been a known stronghold for Pakistani and al-Qaida-linked fighters.
On Monday, Pakistani intelligence officials said a U.S. drone strike killed at least four suspected militants in a vehicle near Wana, the main town in South Waziristan.
