U.S. President Barack Obama celebrated the passage of the debt ceiling bill by taking a few of his staff members out for lunch.
Mr. Obama went out to lunch Wednesday with several staffers, including his budget director , director of the National Economic Council , and his top liaison to Congress .
The group spent about an hour at the Good Stuff Eatery on Capitol Hill, which specializes in hamburgers, French fries, and milkshakes. Mr. Obama said his wife Michelle eats there frequently.
But, eating on Capitol Hill, the president couldn't escape politics. A member of the House of Representatives lunching at a nearby restaurant stopped by to chat with the president about the budget deal.
The congressman later said he told the president he had voted against the deal that Mr. Obama signed into law on Tuesday.
