Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez says he will soon undergo a second round of chemotherapy in his treatment for cancer.
President Chavez made the announcement Wednesday on state media, adding that there could be a need for as many as four rounds of chemotherapy. It is not clear yet whether he will be treated in Venezuela or return to Cuba, where he underwent surgery in June and his first round of chemotherapy in July.
The Venezuelan president, who is 57, has been open about his treatment, but has not divulged what type of cancer he has. Mr. Chavez has vowed to recover and insists he will seek another six-year term next year.
