Commodity prices fell sharply as concerns deepened about economic weakness in the United States and Europe.
Crude oil prices plunged more than $4 to close at $87.84 per barrel.
Coffee prices dropped more than 6 cents to finish at $2.36 a pound.
Copper prices dropped 9 cents to end at $4.23 per pound.
Cocoa futures fell $11 to finish the day's trading at $2,905 per ton.
In Chicago trading, wheat prices fell 29 cents end at $6.82 a bushel.
Rice prices dropped 10 cents to close at $16.25 per hundredweight.
