Iraq police say six people have been killed and at least 11 wounded in a bomb attack on homes in a town south of Baghdad. Two children were among the dead.
Police did not say Sunday what might be the motive behind the overnight attack in Iskandariyah, nearly 50 kilometers south of the capital.
The town was at the enter of violence when the insurgency began fighting the U.S. led coalition, but has been relatively calm in recent years.
