Officials in Lebanon say an explosion near the capital, Beirut, has killed at least one person and wounded another.

Authorities said the blast happened Thursday in a parking lot in Antelias, a Christian suburb to the northeast of Beirut.

Officials say a car belonging to the son of a judge was parked near where the explosion took place, but it is unclear if the vehicle was being targeted.
