Officials in northwestern Pakistan say a bomb blast in a mosque during Friday prayers has killed at least 20 people and wounded at least 50 others.

Authorities say the explosion happened in the the Khyber tribal region.

The tribal district is a hotbed of militant activity.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
