Officials in northwestern Pakistan say the death toll from a bomb blast in a mosque during Friday prayers has risen to at least 33 people. Authorities say at least 85 others were wounded in the attack.

Authorities say the explosion happened in the the Khyber tribal region.

No group has claimed responsibility for the blast, but the Taliban and other insurgents have attacked scores of targets in the area, which lies along the Afghan border.
