Flash floods triggered by monsoon rains have killed at least 16 people in Pakistan's northwest.
Authorities said Thursday that several others are missing in the Kohistan area of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.
The province was badly hit during last year's massive flooding in Pakistan that washed away roads, bridges and other infrastructure.
Fresh flooding hit the region Wednesday, destroying homes and inundating farmland.
Rescue operations were underway to help those stranded in affected areas.
Meteorologists predict more rain in the coming days.
Pakistan is still recovering from last year's devastating floods that killed more than 1,700 people and affected nearly 20 million others. Aid agencies say tens of thousands of families are still without proper housing.
South Asia's monsoon season generally runs from June to September and is vital to millions of farmers who rely on the rains to irrigate their land.
