A Russian soccer club has signed Inter Milan forward Samuel Eto to a three-year contract, rivaling some of the highest salaries in sports.
Russia's FC Anzhi Makhachkala announced on Wednesday,Eto will earn at least $14.2 million per season.
The Cameroon native, who is one of Africa's most acclaimed players, is due in Russia Thursday to begin training for his debut on Saturday.
Eto,a three time Champion League winner with 469 goals for Inter Milan, Barcelona and Mallorca joins the unheralded Russian Premier League.
His new team's billionaire owner, businessman Suleiman Kermov, also paid a sizable transfer fee to Inter Milan as part of the deal.
