Afghan officials say a car bomb has exploded near a southern bank, wounding 10 people.
Authorities say the blast happened Saturday in Lashkar Gah, the capital of Afghanistan's volatile Helmand province.
It was not immediately clear if anyone died in the explosion.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Control of security in Lashkar Gah passed from foreign to Afghan forces in July as part of the first wave of a transitional process that is due to see all foreign combat forces leave Afghanistan by the end of 2014.
