One person has been killed and at least one other wounded in a shooting outside of a mosque in the Danish capital, Copenhagen, following prayers by Pakistani worshippers to end the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
A police spokesman said Tuesday the shooting took place outside the Muslim Culture Institute, located in the capital's western Vesterbro district.
The incident apparently started with a disagreement between two groups of young people. Witness Kuran Qureshi reported hearing between 15 and 20 shots. He said he saw people, including women and children, running for cover and hiding behind cars when the shooting started.
Police have cordoned off the area around the mosque to continue their investigation. No arrests have been made.
