At least seven people have been killed in bombings in Grozny, the capital of Russia's Chechnya region.
Officials say a suspect blew himself up when police tried to arrest him in central Grozny. There was a second blast minutes later that officials believe was also caused by a suicide bomber. At least four of those killed were policemen.
At least 16 people were wounded.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombings.
The suicide attacks occurred on the day Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr, which signals the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Kremlin is still struggling to contain an Islamist insurgency in the North Caucasus.
