U.S. President Barack Obama will travel to New York city on September 19 to attend the annual meeting of the United Nations General Assembly.
The White House says while in New York, Mr. Obama will also attend bilateral and multilateral meetings on the sidelines of the annual event.
President Obama is to also speak at a meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative, a program started by former U.S. president Bill Clinton to find problems to the world's most pressing problems.
Mr. Obama will return to Washington on September 21.
