An earthquake struck northern Argentina Friday.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck Friday morning, 130 kilometers southeast of Santiago del Estero. The quake was centered about 600 kilometers underground.

There were no immediate reports of damage.
