Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad has blamed Israel for an arson attack on a mosque in the West Bank, saying the government has failed to hold those behind similar attacks responsible for their actions.

Officials said burning tires damaged the first floor of the mosque in Qusra Monday, while the names of two Israeli settlement outposts were spray painted on the walls outside.

One of the names was Migron, where Israeli authorities earlier in the day demolished three houses according to a court order.

Some Israeli settlers have threatened to take action against Palestinians in response to government actions against unauthorized settlements.

Israeli police said they arrested six people who clashed with police during the demolition.
