Witnesses in Kenya say dozens of people have been killed by a gasoline pipeline explosion in Kenya's capital, Nairobi.
Kenyan police say the death toll from the blast and a subsequent fire is likely more than 100. Many others were burned or injured and taken to local hospitals.
The explosion erupted Monday in the Lunga Lunga industrial area, which is surrounded by the densely populated Sinai slum.
Witnesses say a pipeline that runs through the area had been leaking, and that people had gone to the site to scoop up fuel. Police suspect a cigarette set off the explosion.
