Tokyo Markets Closed, Dollar Up

Japanese markets were closed Monday for a national holiday , while the dollar rose against the yen. In currency trading, the dollar was selling at 76.93 yen, up a tenth of a yen from late Friday. The Taipei market fell 1.27 percent , to close at 7,481.
