Crude oil prices slid $5.41 to end at $80.51 a barrel.
Coffee futures dropped nearly 13 cents to close at $2.39 a pound.
Copper prices fell more than 27 cents to close at $3.48 a pound.
Cocoa futures dropped $47 to close at $2,680 a ton.
In Chicago trading, the price of wheat dropped 33 cents to $6.34 a bushel.
Rice prices were off 48 cents to finish at $16.67 a hundredweight.
