Indonesian police say a suicide bomber detonated his explosives outside a Protestant church in Central Java province Sunday, killing himself and injuring several others.
Witnesses say the blast outside the Kepunton church in the town of Solo killed the bomber and at least three other people, but police say only the bomber has so far been confirmed dead. Local radio said up to 20 people had been injured.
Indonesia has been rocked by a series of attacks in recent years staged by the regional terror network Jemaah Islamiyah, including the 2002 Bali bombings that killed 202 people.
