Officials say 114 inmates have escaped a prison in south-central Democratic Republic of Congo, the second major jailbreak in Congo this month.
Authorities say the prisoners escaped the prison in Tshikapa on Sunday, after complaining about a lack of food and water. One inmate is reported to have been killed and another wounded during the getaway.
Police said Monday they have captured some of the escapees and are searching for the rest.
Earlier this month, more than 960 inmates escaped from a Congo prison in the southern city of Lubumbashi.
