Libya's interim justice minister says the case is closed on the bombing of a U.S.-bound jetliner that killed 270 people when it exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland.

Mohammed al-Alagi was speaking to reporters Monday when he was asked about Scotland's request for additional information in the terror bombing. Scottish authorities had asked the National Transitional Council for written evidence and witnesses in the case.

Only one man, Abdel Basset al-Megrahi, has been tried and convicted in Scotland for bombing Pan Am flight 103. Scottish authorities say Megrahi's trial revealed he had not acted alone, and the investigation remains open.

Megrahi served eight years of a minimum 27-year sentence, but was freed in 2009 on compassionate grounds after a doctor said he had terminal cancer and only months to live. He is currently living in Tripoli.
